Welcome to BCP, The Heart of the Boquete Community
BCP has been at the heart of the Boquete community since 2005. And while many consider it to be "The Theater" or "The Tuesday Market," in reality, The BCP evolved to become a cohesive organization dedicated to serving the entire Boquete community. And because of our expanding services to the community, while we know that the letters BCP are well recognized, we are changing what they stand for.
Since BCP has been the heart of the Boquete community for many years, we are changing the meaning of those three valued letters to mean
Boquete Community Pulse.
To go with the new definition, we have established a new mission statement:
"Enriching the life of the Boquete Community through the
Arts, Entertainment, Community Events, and Services."
BCP is the home of the Tuesday Market , Community Chats and Theater productions.
Christmas 2020. Since we were unable to hold a Christmas Party for the children this year, we joined forces with ACCB and Casa Esperanza to deliver some Christmas cheer to local children. See here
BCP Tuesday Market.
The BCP Tuesday Market reopened on Tuesday 29th September in our new location in the Arco Iris Salon at the Feria grounds.
MINSA rules for social distancing, temperature testing and mask wearing are strictly observed, and with these measures in place we are limited to 50 vendors and 50 visitors at any one time Click here for more details
Tuesday Talks- Are now the BCP Community Chats
For a long time, we have had mixed comments about holding the talks at the same time as the market. While some found it convenient because they only had to come once, others complained about the noise from the market and the crowds outside they had to push though. Also we often had market vendors who would have liked to attend but couldn't because they had to stay at the market.
So, we are making changes. The talks will not be on Tuesday, and we are renaming them Community Chats, with the aim that they become less formal than the theater environment, and this will hopefully bring more interaction between the speakers and the audience. There will also be held in the Boquete Library, and MINSA limitations mean that initially we will ony be able to seat 25 people at a time.
